This blog is all about Central and Eastern European food along with an extensive collection of recipes, articles, tips, news, and information.
Whether you’re looking for the perfect Polish pierogi recipe or want to learn more about fine wines from Hungary, maybe even gather tips on how to make traditional desserts and pastries from Austria or simply find the best deli in your area to eat a German Bratwurst sausage…it’s all right here on this blog!
I would also like to introduce myself to everyone. As you can see, my background is Hungarian. I grew up in a traditional home with great food and culture. I'm currently preparing to open an authentic Hungarian Restaurant next year in Toronto, Canada, while taking professional culinary courses at George Brown College. So, this blog is really both a personal and career related journey for me.
I do use the term Central and Eastern European food to describe this blog. Although, I want to make it very clear that each nation within these regions has its own history, people, language, culture, and traditions. However, regardless of their differences they all share great passion and love for their food.
My hope is to inspire others to learn more about these different cuisines and for those who are familiar with it to continue the tradition. This is why I decided to create this blog.
Feel free to write me if you have any questions or comments. Thanks for visiting and be sure to come back soon.
I enjoy playing tennis, working out, learning about history and culture, and riding my Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. The things I value most in life are my family, friends, and community.
